Refillable by Design — Our bolsters are designed to last a lifetime. When your filling needs a top up, simply purchase additional Australian buckwheat hull from us directly and refresh your bolster rather than replacing it entirely. No waste, no landfill.

Washable & Replaceable Covers — Our GOTS certified organic cotton covers are fully removable and machine washable, extending the life of your bolster indefinitely. When you want a fresh look, simply swap the cover — not the whole bolster.

Buckwheat Hull Over Kapok — We chose Australian buckwheat hull over imported kapok for good reason. Kapok is heavy, imported from overseas, and compresses permanently over time. Buckwheat hull is a local agricultural byproduct, lightweight, resilient, and bounces back — less fuel, less emissions, better performance.

Limited Production Runs — We deliberately produce in small, limited runs to avoid overproduction and waste. We only make what we believe we can sell, based on real customer demand. This means less excess, less waste, and more intentional production.

Designed for Longevity — Every MOBECO product is designed to last, not to be replaced. From the high-quality calico lining to the durable organic cotton canvas cover, we build products that serve you for years — not seasons.

Local Manufacturing — Building every bolster by hand on the Gold Coast means shorter supply chains, fewer transport emissions, and direct quality control. What's made locally stays accountable locally.

GOTS Certified Organic Cotton — Organic cotton farming uses up to 91% less water and emits up to 94% fewer greenhouse gases than conventional cotton farming. By choosing GOTS certified cotton, we're actively reducing the environmental footprint of every product we make.

Minimal Plastic Packaging — We ship in cardboard boxes sealed with paper tape. Where protective packaging is unavoidable for smaller items, we salvage recycled plastic bags from going to landfill and give them a second life. Nothing new, nothing unnecessary.

Biodegradable Materials — Our organic cotton covers and buckwheat hull filling are both natural and biodegradable. When your MOBECO products eventually reach the end of their life, they return to the earth rather than sitting in landfill for centuries like synthetic alternatives.

Hessian Delivered Buckwheat — Our Queensland buckwheat hull arrives to us in hessian bags — completely plastic free from source to our workshop.

No Overpackaging — What arrives to us safely gets passed directly to you without additional repackaging. We don't add layers of unnecessary packaging, tags, or wrapping just to make things look pretty. Simple, minimal, intentional.

Future Sustainability Goals — As a small business, we are constantly evolving our sustainability practices. We are committed to continuing to find better, more sustainable solutions across every aspect of our supply chain — from sourcing to shipping — as we grow.

See more about our commitment to sustainability.

Vegan Owned & Operated — Every product, material, and process at MOBECO is 100% vegan including the sole owner and operator Rach, who is committed to a fully vegan lifestyle. No animal products, no exceptions.

No Animal Testing — We have never tested on animals and never will.

GOTS Certified Organic Cotton — Our covers are made from GOTS certified organic cotton sourced from India, guaranteeing ethical production, fair working conditions, and zero harmful chemicals from farm to finished product.

Australian Buckwheat Hull — Our bolsters are filled with buckwheat hull sourced locally from Queensland, saved from agricultural waste and given a second life rather than going to landfill.

Handmade Locally — Every bolster is hand-built right here on the Gold Coast by one person with care and intention.

Natural Vegan Dyes — All of our colours are created using natural, vegan-friendly dyes. No toxic chemicals, no synthetic colourants.

Minimal Plastic Packaging — We ship in simple cardboard boxes sealed with paper tape. Where smaller items require protective packaging, we salvage and reuse recycled plastic bags that would otherwise go to landfill — giving them a second life rather than adding to the problem.

Female Owned & Solely Operated — MOBECO is proudly female owned and run entirely by one person. No employees, no investors — just one woman building something meaningful from the ground up.

Supporting Gaia's Serenity Animal Sanctuary — We are dedicated supporters of Gaia's Serenity Animal Sanctuary in Queensland, contributing our time, skills, finances, and more to an organisation doing vital work protecting and caring for animals.

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint — From sourcing buckwheat hull locally in Queensland to handbuilding every product on the Gold Coast, every decision we make is guided by one question: how can we reduce our impact? Less travel miles, less waste, less harm.
